Launch Of Ntombi's Song
The first step to recovery from sexual abuse is to tell someone who can help you. The Psycho Social Support cluster of CINDI, with Jive Media, has created a workbook and facilitators guide that will take children through the process of disclosing, getting help and ultimately healing from sexual abuse. Ntombi’s Song tells the story of a child who has the opportunity to reflect on what is happening to her and take steps to stop the abuse. The booklet which includes activities to reinforce key messages is available by application from CINDI. A facilitator guide has been produced to support adults who are working through the material with children. If you would like to apply for copies of the comic and facilitators guide please contact the CINDI office on 033 345 7994

The Children in Distress Network (CINDI) was founded in July 1996, and consists of over 150 NGOs, CBOs, government agencies and individuals - who collaborate in the interests of children affected by HIV and AIDS in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Part of CINDI's Mission is to foster a spirit of Ubuntu* among CINDI Members.
"A person with ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed." Archbishop Desmond Tutu (1999)
